I booked in and the appointment details said ‘AM’. Last year I did the same thing and turned up at 8:30 and was told I could have come any time. This week I turned up later and missed my 8:30 slot. They said that the appointment booking platform is not great as it doesn’t tell you what time to come in. It’s my fault as I should have just called to confirm the time. No issues with the MOT last year though!

I called the Garage a few days before the MOT was booked. I was told that no MOT was booked. They did not get my booking via your site; unfortunately, they did not have a date until after the MOT was expiring. I had to get it done elsewhere and spend more money due to the urgency. Maybe improve the booking system and share the info accordingly. Have garages acknowledge booking when made via your site. This is a reflection on your site as well.

Thank you for your feedback, although we're sorry your experience did not go to plan. To clarify, many of the garages we work with do not have a booking system directly integrated with ours. However, every booking is emailed to the garage immediately, and it is their responsibility to confirm the specific details with you within 4 hours. (As outlined in the Book My Garage email, the booking is not fully confirmed until that point.) In this instance, the garage was notified of your booking on 30th December at 7.29pm, however, to this day they have not opened the email. One of the team here also called to remind them of the booking on 14th January and was told they would contact you to confirm the booking. Based on this, the garage incorrectly informed you that we did not make them aware of the booking. We will be conducting an internal investigation to understand why this occurred, in the meantime your review will be published later today. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
