Lovely friendly helpful staff. This is not the issue I have. After coming for my mot I went away to get more quotes as that’s what I needed to do. Unfortunately we are a nation now with a cost of living crises so I imagine a lot of people do this. Took my car to another garage. What really surprised me was they picked up I had no break pads what so ever. Baxter’s never even picked up on this. Wasn’t even mentioned on my mot certificate. As you can imagine I was very shocked.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience and I appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. The M.O.T test is testing things to the minimum standard so when we carry out the test we cannot remove any covers etc and have to test what we can see, this is very different to carrying out a service. In the case of brake pads it can be very difficult to see the inner pad which is often the one that wears the first. I would guess these pads have been seen when the wheel was removed to carry out the other work necessary as there was no mention on the mot failure 2 days later. In the case of the value, we only use OE quality parts which come with a minimum of 2 year guarantee which when pricing jobs up this can go against us.
